The Montgomery Manglers Wrestling Club (MMWC) is a wrestling club for boys and girls ages 6 to 14 (no high school students).  MMWC is an introductory wrestling program focused on the development of fundamentals for young athletes in the beginner stages of our sport and is chartered by USA Wrestling. The wrestling season runs from late November through the end of February. 

MMWC will hold practices twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting on Nov 28th. Our practices will run from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm at the Bullis School, 10601 Falls Road, Potomac, MD 20854. MMWC is not a Bullis School club, we are a separate entity that will simply be using space there. We will be practicing in the wrestling room at the rear of the Athletic Center on the school campus. There should be a security representative at the school’s main entrance that can direct you toward the facility if you are uncertain how to get there. Should our practice schedule need to be modified for any reason, we will put out prior notification usually a week in advance. 

MMWC will compete in the Montgomery Youth Wrestling League (MYWL) this year in our inaugural season. The competition level in this league is geared toward wrestlers from 0-3 years of experience.  The MYWL will hold a takedown tournament at Poolesville Middle School on December 10, and will conduct league wrestling matches on January 6 and 20, and February 10, and will offer an end-of-season tournament on February 18. Participation in all 5 of these events is entirely optional. The divisions for competition will be per the Madison System, which just means wrestlers between a certain weight range, usually within 5lbs of each other, with experience levels sometimes factored in. Again, we are focused on the development of young wrestlers and making the sport fun, so they want to stick with it and eventually seek out tougher competition.
